Summer AmeriCorp VISTA Photos
The Habitat for Humanity summer VISTA Program is a partnership between the AmeriCorp VISTA division of the Corporation for National & Community Service (CNCS) and Habitat for Humanity (HFH). The purpose of this partnership is to provide HFH affiliates with capacity and resource building help to aid in the mission to eliminate substandard housing. Charlotte County HFH was selected as one of three Florida affiliates in which summer AmeriCorp VISTA's served. We were lucky to have 6 full-time volunteers for 8 weeks. They were a big help and charged-up our affiliate!
Collegiate Challenge Photos
Collegiate Challenge is an alternative spring break program for both colleges and high schools. Participants commit their spring breaks to one of 169 participating Habitat for Humanity affiliates across the country by helping them build homes. We just completed our third participating year in the program, and have really come to rely on the various groups to help us build. Thank you to all those who helped make this possible!
